I always thought what was said on the court, stayed on the court. See for example Doncic and Harrell in the playoffs last year. Doncic wouldn't comment other than to say "no big deal." Harrell just went over before the next game, shook his hand and apologized and they both moved on.
For better or worse, I think Lin has always been willing to comment about how he is trash talked, and it is not well received by other players. Did Lin ever play against KG? Lol, I wonder how that would have gone?
No doubt about it. Maybe that's part of the issue with Lin. Just play the game. I remember I lucked up and had seats at MSG right behind the bench. It's so much chit talking going on. It's a wonder there aren't more fights. Just gamesmanship. Sounds like he has a thin skin.

At this point he is a G league SJW. And its hard to feel sorry for a Harvard grad who made it to the NBA.
Between now and the end of the season, anything can happen. Optimistically I assume he will sign a team soon. Just like two yrs ago in spring, during the 2nd half of regular season, a playoff team like Raptors will invite him to join and utilize his veteran/championship experiences to chase the title.
My guess is a team in the West, like Jazzs, Suns, Clippers, etc.

Championship experience? LOL, he rode the pine on the Raptors. Hey, he earned a ring but little playoff experience. There's a reason Toronto didn't bring him back. Those 3 teams you mentioned? Fat chance they pick Lin up.
His playoff experiences are not just with the Raptors. At Raptors he was injured so didn't contribute much. But his season in Charlotte was a tremendous success. He helped Hornets get into the playoffs and almost advance to the 2nd round after 15 yrs. Linsanity occurred again in Charlotte.
Also only 16% of players in the history of NBA have a ring. So no matter how he got it, he's still better than many others stars who are still chasing it.
OK. Now the rumor is Nets wants him. After Aldridge retires, they need some new bloods. And it doesn't have to be frontcourt. It makes perfect sense that Lin would reunion with his previous team and James Harden. They can chase championship together again. Maybe even another Linsanity in New York again.
Hey, how many people can say that had a pro career, and, although brief and thanks to a point-guard friendly coach, one of the more iconic cultural phenom runs of all time? Oh, and go to team and, despite hurt, get a ring!
Most people do not get into a position of a Jeremy Lin.
^ Right. Linsanity at that time was truly a global phenomenon.
