He doesn't have the years in yet to stand with Jabbar, Jordan, Bryant and Malone, but I think he does belong in that company.
A little more post season success might give that scoring more weight. With GS and SA looking good for years to come, it might be a challenge for Durant to break through (granted, he might join GS or SA).
It looks like Curry won't be playing tomorrow either.
GS better be ready for Portland tomorrow nite, Portland took advantage of a decimated Clippers team, and surely they're taking advantage of a Curry less Dubs team.
Huge game. I certainly wont be surprised if (when) GS blows them out tomorrow, but if Portland can win they'll have tons of confidence going into a 3 game series.
It's cute for OKC to delay the inevitable but I didn't think the Spurs would sweep, OKC is too good for that. I was really surprised the Blazers pulled one out, I kind of thought they would've gotten swept. If Curry was healthy, it would definitely be a sweep.
Either way, it's going to be the east losing again this year.
Man, how long have you been on this board? Year after year of hating on Lebron. That **** ain't healthy, man...
Couple notes:
Durant is up there for all-time scorers. I've been watching the NBA since '99, so I saw:
We tend to forget that KG was one of the greatest post scorers of all time, and that Lebron probably could have led the league in scoring for 5-6 straight years if he wanted to play the game that way. Anyway, as a pure scorer, he's about Nowitzki-level--that dude was ice cold in his prime! Iverson was the truth too, and of course, Kobe. Out of the people on my list, I'd rank him No.3-5, just in the 17 years I've been watching pro basketball. But I didn't get to see Jordan, Malone, and others, so honestly I'd be surprised if many people had him as a Top 10 all-time scorer at this point in his career...probablt Top 5 in the last 17 years of ball, though, I can dig that...
Where does KD stand on your GOAT scoring list? He's definitely among the Top 3-5 I've ever seen.
Personally, I don't rate him very high. I see a guy who is the height of a PF at 6'11" playing at small forward and yet is only able to take advantage of the typical SFs who are closer to 6'7". His post game doesn't equal what a 6'11" player usually does. He doesn't very much inside for a tall guy.
Duncan is done. There really is no reason for him not to retire after this season. At this point, its about him adding more rings to his name, but if the Spurs won this year, this would be the first time that Duncan really didn't contribute to that win on-floor. He's washed up; it was a good run. He will be remembered fondly for the monster he was in his prime, for his willingness to put his team over individual desire, for being a part of the most successful "Big Three" in NBA history, but honestly, he's of little physical value now...
I'll admit that I've thought he was done before, notably after his no-show when the 8th-seeded Grizzlies upset the Spurs in '11. He came back and looked vintage in '13, especially in the Finals when they lost to Miami. He slid back a little in '14 when they won, but he was still effective. Last year was a big step back, although he looked good last postseason, but he completely fell off a cliff this season. What more can Timmy add now? His legacy is cemented and its time to move on. The Spurs have to continue adding young depth in their frontcourt. Duncan is completely overmatched in this series...
In reality while Duncan is a shell of his former self, it's tough to be realistic with him apparently. What I mean is comparing him now to past iterations of himself isn't exactly fair. Comparing him town equivalent of what he has become, a role playing, defensive specialist big is more reasonable.
On a per 36 min basis he's averaging 8ppg, 9rpg, 3apg, 2.3 bpg and per 100 possessions he's more along the lines of 11.5/13.5/4.5/3.5.
Those are very solid role player numbers, just not duncan like numbers of old.
Right now it's all about match ups and he's not mobile enough to play fast which is an issue.
I wouldn't be surprised if he retires this summer though.

I agree.
I think the Thunder are better giving him the keys down the stretch rather than Westbrook.
