If the Dubs go on to win the championship, this should put to rest the tired and annoying argument by the haters that these Dubs aren't that great compared to (fill in the blank team from the 90's).

It's not even individual stats as much as everything has to go through him...every play, every player decision, every personnel decision. Mr. Player-Coach-GM tries to play dictator in a team game, which is why it's backfired on the Cavs all season long. He left Miami because he couldn't handle answering to Riley, but the top-down "system" is what won him those championships in Miami.

According to a poster who shall remain nameless: stats lie.

He was terrible tonight, at least his shooting was. He had some good plays attacking the basket, and that's what he needs to do if he wants to win a couple home games. We'll see if he can put on a show this week. The offense is going to have to run through him, he can't just make some passes, and he'll need to play a solid 45 minutes. He can't sit for 8-10 minutes while his bench misses shot after shot after shot. The truth is his teammates haven't done enough this series, but neither has he. For Lebron haters, the "expectations" are just too high. He can't just be a great player. He has to either be the greatest ever or he sucks.

Wait, so you're saying they're better than the Bulls of the 90s?

It had nothing to do with going home? He watched his team collapse in the finals, so who knows what the true reason was. Maybe a little of both.

Nah when Lebron is great he's great. That's the problem though people are waiting to see him BE GREAT WHEN IT COUNTS. it's not that he CANT do it because we know he can and have seen him step into that "chosen one" role. He's got to do it.

That's the thing though. That's not the case, at least with the more vocal Lebron haters around here. He gets no credit for beating the Spurs because Allen hit a 3. He gets no credit for beating the Celtics because they were apparently too old to matter by then.

So basically the NBA's best player won 2 championships with an All-Star roster (one with a little help from Ray Allen) and crashed and burned 5 other times... (Yes, this series is over folks)

This is exactly the problem. When he wins, he gets no credit, but when he loses, he gets all the blame. He had 2 allstar teammates. Who was the last NBA team to win the championship with < 3 all stars? Warriors and Spurs have their share of all stars. I guess the Mavs had 2 in Dirk and Kidd, not sure if they had others. The Lakers had their share of all stars, as did the Celtics. How many all-stars did the Pistons have?

Kidd was a former all star at the end of his career at the time.

When you get a CHOSEN ONE tattooed on you, you're not supposed to be 2/5 in the finals.
