I think he would ring chase if he didn't already have one. But he has stated the only way he would leave is if the Mavs choose to completely rebuild.

I agree.
Although they are just treading water really. First round and out for the next few years, so how far from total rebuild is it?

Where would be the best landing spot for Dirk?

Warriors and Spurs seem to be taken for.

Cavs would have to move Love.

Maybe Miami? OKC? Toronto?

Knicks if he wants to mentor Porzingis

All depends on what he's looking for.
Warriors don't have place for him outside of 10mpg off the bench. Spurs have a bit of depth need of Duncan retires, at 15-20 mpg. Cavs seem to be the best option for a title chance, with mozgov gone they need some pf depth too

Probably two years is what he has left. Although his shot has never looked better. He could just stay at the offensive end of the court. Not like Dallas's defense could get any worse.

I hope Mark Cuban realizes how important Justin Anderson, Dwight Powell, and Salah Mejri are. History has told us he probably won't and these players will be involved in another Rondo-like trade.

Once again the west is keeping their talent and picking up good players. Howard, Jeff Green and Rondo go east. The west picks up Gasol, Deng, Joe Johnson and Afflalo. The west also has 6 of the top 8 draft picks coming in.
