So Shaq begins his debut shortly with the phoenix Suns against his former team, the LA Lakers. Phil Jackson said that all Shaq will do for the Suns is inbound the ball. Jackson and Suns coach Mike D'Amonti have traded verbal shots at each others team, this is a rivalry that has gotten a little more interesting. We'll see what Shaq can do with his new team.

15 points and 9 rebounds, he seemed excited and he even hustled for a couple of loose balls.

He always gives his best effort in the beginning, but he'll slack off as time goes by. In a few weeks he'll be on the DL again. I think if he hadn't been traded, he'd still be on the DL in Miami. I would take Gasol over Shaq any day. Thank God he doesn't miss free throws for the Lakers any more. I estimate everytime he goes to the freethrow line, it's equivalent to a 1/2 to one full turnover.

when Gasol gives L.A. three rings then you can talk...Bitter that he got a ring with the Heat? And Kobe has brought the fans nothing but headaches?

It was a smart business move by Jerry Buss to let him go when they did. He wasn't and still isn't worth the money he's getting. By the way it's looking.. the Lakers will have a few more rings "without him". Gasol is only 27!!! What a trade! I see the Lakers possibly winning even more rings with Gasol they they did with Shaq!! Not bitter at all that Shaq got a ring in Miami, I was even pulling for him to make his freethrows, but not praying for him to make them like I was when he was a Laker.

The Lakers are looking like the team to beat in the West. Time will tell.

As far as Shaq being traded to the Suns, I say that Miami just climbed a step from the cellar.

I heard that Shaq wasn't so energetic in that recent game with the Pistons; I'd heard that he was missing layups. That's just wonderful.

Check out the new Suns' Fast Break here.
