Im not a Lakers fan i like the Celtics but i think the lakers are really good and prolly the top team in the west now that they have Pau Gasol to help out Kobe.

I am a big time Laker fan. I think they are one of the top teams, if not the top team in the NBA. With that said, I still don't think they will win the NBA championship this season. There a very young team, Andrew Bynum will not help them much, if any at all in the playoffs. I see this year as the year they get there playoff experience, and next year with a healthy Bynum, and Gasol with the team from the start of the season. Watch out next year! and with their youth, maybe a new dynasty!!!

I've been a huge Laker fan since 1977, so things are definately looking up. However, without a healthy Bynum I don't think the Lakers can beat Boston or Detroit. I would still expect they can make the finals though.

LAKERS BABY
Denver is going down. Maybe 5 games.
They'd be nearly unstoppable with Bynum on the floor. I think we can make it to the WCF without him no doubt.
If we play PHX or SA in the WCF we'll need him almost for sure. We may be able to beat PHX or SA without him, but in a long series. We'll definitely need big plays from the bench. But the odds will be against us. If we can get him back by the Jazz series, at the latest, he should be effective and I'd like our chances.
I dont think we'd need him if we meet NO in the WCF.

If we can make the finals, we'll definitely need him against BO, but not necessarily against DET.

Nevertheless, the Lakers are DA TEAM in the NBA. We are the most storied franchise in the NBA and will always have championship teams. 10, 15, 20 years from now we'll have a new team[s] and conversating about winning the finals again with hall of fame talent.
