The character and ensuing ratings have returned, folks!

Plus, in light of what's been going on in MLB and the NFL, I think more and more folks will be checking out the NBA in the not-too-distant future. The overall product has definitely improved.

(Note: As an example, see my Portland Trail Blazers and tell me that they haven't evolved from the dastardly "Jail Blazers" to a team you'd be proud to introduce to good ol' Mom & Pops.)

I Love This Game!

I honestly believe the NBA is the worst professional sports league on the planet. Do these players even care? I laugh every time I happen to catch a game because of the laxed defense and the non-shalant arrogance. College basketball, on the other hand, is amazing. I'd like to see noting more than the NBA to die a horrble, painful death.

I would agree the NBA is "back". However, back to what?

The league still has a long way to go (getting rid of guaranteed contracts...), but it's getting better.

I tottally agree with what you said,

The NBA is just not exciting anymore,College basketball all the way, and the crowd seems to get into it more.

Amen to that. The nba has been horrible for some time now, and it needs to go away.

Absolutely correct! I'd rather watch MLS... A track meet is more fun to watch than the NBA.

Nonetheless, the television ratings are proving otherwise.

I have slowly but surely became more interested in college basketball, and i must agree it's by far more exciting than the pro's. That game between women's Rutgers and Uconn was great these kids have hunger, the Nba is a bunch of tattoo's, lazy bums stealing money, no desire to win at all.

I had mentioned above about the new image Portland Trail Blazers.

Check out THIS article regarding their budding star, Brandon Roy. Notice the tattoos/chains remarks.

The NBA as a whole is making strides to lose the thug/gangsta/hip-hop image.
