I picked Arizona, Oregon, Duke, Kentucky. Oregon needing that comeback had me nervous, but the (top of the) Pac-12 is legit this year.
even USC took baylor to the wire. early in the season the pundits were saying that arizona, oregon and UCLA were legit final four teams. we shall see what happens later this week though, will arizona reach teh final four? it means they will have to beat xavier and gonzaga. oregon will have to beat michigan and kansas or purdue.
UCLA will have to beat kentucky and UNC or butler.
Even when UCLA beat USC and Arizona, at the end of each half, they gave up big leads. Games that should have been blowout wins turned into nailbiters on paper. I think this will be their undoing against Kentucky. Arizona should be fine, and Oregon too, though with their injury, they might struggle if they face Kansas (I picked Purdue, heh).
I loved S Carolina beating Duke! Just shows what a team and Coach dedicated to hard work and teamwork can do. Martin has taken a moribund b'ball program to the Sweet Sixteen. Of course, I'm always glad to see Duke lose! Now I want to see Kentucky knocked out- their fans have an arrogant sense of entitlement.
His shot takes time to release, but he is a 40%+ 3 point shooter and he's shooting them fairly deep too. His game does have a flaw though. Due to him gathering his shot on the left side of his body, he primarily does step back three's off his left foot. He can't step back on his right and then gather on his left, because his shot would be off. At the next level, teams will already know that about him and prepare for it. He has a Kevin Martin shot, which is great for catch and release or some ISO. He'll be fine as a PG, since he has good court vision. He's deadly from 3, but he'll have to incorporate some new tricks, if the next level doesn't try to rewrite his shooting mechanics.
He should be fine...maybe it'll take 4-5 years to perfect his shot. Seems like he's one of those that impacts the game without scoring. He could average 10-12 ppg and still be a great PG in the NBA. It's hard to tell though. Maybe he'll be a Jason Kidd (great) or maybe he'll be more like Rubio (pretty good).
