he wants both nets picks, brown and crowder from the celtics for KP. a guy with 2 seasons, never made an allstar game, never been on an all nba, never actually done anything but looks like he might some day.
a lot of players "might some day"

that has less to do with KP and more to do with "dont you know im the zen master, bow down to me" which has ALWAYS been his attitude.
The KP stuff isn't like that all. That's a 'we aren't looking to trade him at all but if you're dumb enough to give us all of this we'd listen' non-trade. He's letting KP know there is a structure to a professional team and KP needs to follow that. KP has done nothing in the league and yet thinks he's a superstar. Well he's not. Phil let him know he's expendable and he is. Humble up and learn to play better.

Phil Jackson needs to humble up, as under his leadership the Nicks went from bad to worse. It's not over a single season. The Nicks performance was affected by Phil Jackson's decisions and management more than KP or any other player. Yet he doesn't seem to get it and retire.

I almost forgot, but now I remembered how in one of his (many) gaffes PJ imposed Derek Fisher as coach. After so many moves, nobody seems to remembers.
But yeah, KP is insubordinate, that's their problem...sure.

It's funny when the alleged Knicks fans won't even debate points.

None of you have even commented on PJ's ONE pick in three years, can we at least talk about facts?

Well that's a fair point. Maybe it's Phil's way of instituting structure in a rudderless organization where players otherwise would diva it out for their own benefit. I'm not sure who could do better with a crappy team with few high draft picks, but at least they're not the Nets, right?

RIP, Phil! JK!

11x NBA champ as Coach; 2x NBA champ as Player. This dude had nothing else to prove. He should have stayed retired and kept banging Jeanie Buss.

Good riddance. This guy has made a career out of riding on coat-tails. As a player with the Knicks, he just came off the bench, played a little D, grabbed a few boards while Frazier, Monroe, Reed, Bradley, and Debusscher (sp) were the talented players.

Then as a coach he took a championship level Bulls team with 2 superstars built and trained by Doug Collins, and won some championships.

Then he took a Lakers team with 2+ superstars and won some more championships.

But give him a normal team (the current Knicks) and he stumbles at every turn except for drafting Porzingas. His public commentary was consistently petty and embarrassing to the organization, the NBA's Trump (not nearly that bad).

A better man would have been exceedingly humble through all this but Phil was always overconfident and self-important. NYC should rejoice...

Phil is thankful for Isaiah Thomas- if not for him, Phil would be the worst GM ever!
