Yeah, that was a butt whuppin'. Does Cleveland even care anymore? I know there is still that thought out there that they can just turn it on in the playoffs, but you should still try to win some regular season games--you dont want to be too low a seed, or, worse yet, miss the playoffs...

LeBron probably doesn't want to lose another Finals anyway, and this year's Finals looks like more of a done deal than any of the others (whether that means Golden State or Houston, both teams would probably clobber the Cavs), so LeBron probably lacks motivation for winning the East.

Yeah Hayward is the perfect fit, very skillful scorer to compliment their athletic scorers.
And they are so great defensively that they may beat the Warriors because they'll have Hayward's scoring to compliment the great defense.
No weaknesses in next year's Celtics.

LBJ needs some defense. This team doesn't have it. GS/Houston will likely clobber the Cavs in the Finals.

The Cs right now just don't have a good offense. Hayward helps--most notably because of his passing, vision, and ball handling.

The big question for next year is what will the Cs do with Marcus Smart. IMO, he's too good defensively to let go and his contract will probably be too expensive to move until its last year. Without him, you have Rozier as the sole backup ball handler. He's already putting up 24 minutes a night. If all of Smart's minutes are distributed to Hayward & Rozier, I think you lose a fair amount defensively. Maybe that's what the Cs feel they need to do, but it seems like a step mostly sideways next year.

Agreed. Unless Kawhi comes back healthy--in which case its GS v. Houston/SA.

And I think Houston will eliminate Golden State, if Houston have homecourt advantage.
Keep dreaming.

Hayward improves their offense. He's a better passer & has better vision than Kyrie. I expect him to be the point forward with the first unit, similar to his role in Utah. The big question is whether or not they keep Smart. He'll be expensive for what he is now, and limit future flexibility. But he makes the team better.

That team is done IMO, glad they won the one championship for cleveland but....they have hit the wall.

Lebron is likely out of there.
IT is a downgrade.
TT got Kardashianized
Love out.
Nuff said.

Again, they won a championship...so deep breaths but the show is over folks.

If Lebron joins an exisiting mega-team, I'm done with the NBA.

Porzingis with torn ACL. It's hard enough for the smaller players to come back from a torn ACL, for a big guy like KP, he may never be the same.

Yeah, that was horrible news. The injury bug seems to have picked up steam in the past few weeks...
