If they wear Lebron out chasing an MVP season at his age with heavy minutes you can kiss a championship goodbye.

Gotta be reasonable about Lebron at this stage of his career playing on a contender.

Playing him enough minutes each night to push for MVP would be insanely bad coaching\organizational tactics.

The Cavs don't seem to have a 2nd scorer right now. They shouldn't be too worried as long as Thomas comes back ready to go, but the next couple months may be a grind. Of course all they need is the 8 seed and they'll still get to the finals anyway.

Right now - it is a rotation issue.

Lebron/Rose/JR/Love/Crowder is the better first unit. You have to respect drive and kick out that Lebron and Rose possess and then you have some shooters on the wing.

I don't think he has to play 38/40 night to get the award. Maybe guys like Harden and Westbrook who will have to share the ball a little more won't put up out this world numbers.

If folks are taking about Giannis- Lebron made a statement about that this past Friday.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying Lebron isn't the best player in the league, I just talking about how the league tends to give out the award. Just look at last year. Nuff said.

P.S. I predict I'm not losing that Laker in the playoffs bet this year either. Or next year.....heck maybe after Trump leaves office?

Spoken like a true Cleveland Sports Fan with the Lakers I will say "there is always next year" and I'm going to admit now it probably won't happen this year.

With Lebron and the award- I agree its numbers focused but I think Westbrook and Harden have their numbers water down a bit with the additions to their respective teams

Hard to see LeBron winning MVP unless he has an otherworldly performance. And to do that would require the kind of minutes LeBron just shouldn't be playing at this stage of his career.

MVP: Kawhi Leonard (unless he misses significant time)
ROY: Ben Simmons
DPOY: Rudy Gobert
COY: Tom Thibodeau
MIP: Jaylen Brown
6MOY: Nick Young

Surprises:
Brooklyn is better than expected.
OKC is not as good as expected.
CP3 misses significant time, but Houston does well without him.
Embiid plays at least 60 games this season.
Dwight Howard has a very productive season in Charlotte.
New Orleans misses the playoffs.

Cheering for Utah Jazz too bad Gordon Hayward went to Boston. I like Memphis Grizzlies too.
