Simmons has more natural ability than any rookie in the last 30 years.
He makes LeBron James look mechanical.
1984-85 Michael Jordan is the only rookie with more upside than Simmons.

Great player. My pick to be ROY.

But Lebron James could have played TE in the NFL if he wanted to- I don't think "mechanical" is a correct way to describe James in comparison to Simmons.

LeBron James is not mechanical.
But compared to Simmons, LeBron James is mechanical.
No player has ever flowed like Simmons.
And I'd say only Jordan gave me the impression of more natural ability.

Shooting is irrelevant.
He doesn't need it, except free-throws.
Free-throws were okay in the opener made 4 of 6.

Shooting irrelevant for a ball-handler in today's NBA? Even 67% shooting free throws for a point guard will cost his team a number of games (think last 2 minutes).

The kid looks good but has a long way to go and hasn't even hit his rookie wall yet. I still see the 76ers in the lottery. I also think Joel Embiid has the wrong idea about his 3 point game, he's not doing it in a way that fits the offense and it might stunt his growth.

Perhaps it will once again be a big mans league...but the bigs will have point guard skills (Simmons/Giannis).

Simmons is off to a very impressive start statistically 14.5ppg 10.5rpg 5apg 1.5spg (2 games), which was unnecessary anyway because he's an intangibles guy, he gives full effort at both ends and plays with flair and intelligence.
As for free-throws, even LeBron shot .674 last season (and .698 in the playoffs), and I've been told LeBron is the best player in the world and currently in his prime....

76ers got hammered at Toronto but Simmons delivered 18 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists.
After 3 games, Simmons is averaging 15.7ppg 10.3rpg 6.0apg.
And those are 3 tough opponents, playing elite teams of the East at Washington, at Toronto and vs Boston.

76ers won at Detroit, and Simmons had 21 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists.
Shot 8-11 from the field, and 5-6 from the foul-line.
Simmons is averaging 17.0ppg 10.8rpg 7.0apg.
