The most amazing things about Jordan's Wizards years-

In his first Wizards season they were 26-21 (including a 9 game winning streak and a win over west-leading Sacramento) before his tendinitis reduced him.

That season the starting 5.....
C: Jahidi White
PF: Christian Laettner
SF: Michael Jordan
SG: Richard Hamilton
PG: Chris Whitney
Bench studs.....Popeye Jones, Lue, Nesby (last time he ever played), Haywood (rookie)

Jordan only played 60 games in that first season but still led the league in 40 point games.

Jordan scored 51 on Charlotte and then scored 45 on east-leading New Jersey (and left the game early because Wizards led by 20).

In his final season, Jordan played all 82 games and 37mpg for 20ppg 6.1rpg 1.5spg, proving that he had plenty more left in the tank if he'd chosen to play more (and if he'd played for a contender it'd be even easier).

Makes you wonder just how good Jordan wouldíve been if he didnít takes 3 years off and just kept playing in 99, 00, 01, 02 and 03. After 98, did he still have another MVP seasons in him? Maybe another couple seasons as a top 5 player? What if he did like most players and hooked up with a contender only playing 25 or so minutes per game? Maybe he wins a few more titles?

He'd be ideal for a contender for several years because he was extremely clutch and in the first Wizards seasons he hit game winners @NY, @CLE and @PHO.
There may have been one more game winner, but I definitely remember those 3.
When he hit the shot at Phoenix he yelled at someone courtside- "That's what they pay me for! That's what they pay me for! That's what they pay me for!"
