I know, Kobe attempted way more (for better or for worse), but its funny how similar their 3-point% are-

Reg Season:
Kobe .329
Jordan .327

Playoffs:
Jordan .332
Kobe .331

Finals:
Jordan .368
Kobe ?

Kobe is basically Jordan with better dribbles + jumpshot but he doesn't have those big baseball gloves hand"

Yeah but Jordan was a better mid-range shooter, and prime Jordan was far more athletic than prime Kobe.
Also in the post, Jordan way better.
So its not just baseball glove hands.
Jordan was a massive shot-blocker (back-to-back seasons of 1.5bpg and 1.6bpg) and massive stealer too (peak of 3.2spg, and career average 2.3spg, while Kobe only 1.4spg).
And Jordan's slashing was off the charts surreal, way better than Kobe's slashing.
And Jordan had a season of 8.0 assists per game, while Kobe (career-high 6.0apg) never did.

Jordan made 600 3s in his career to Kobe's ~2000 I believe.

The game strategies changed and taking the shot became more encouraged. I guess that is why the OP is focusing on percentage. However because it wasn't taken as often, except when the game was coming to the critical point, the defender would be more likely to lay back some to stop other things when Jordan was playing

If Jordan played in today's era and attempted 4 threes per game (which he wouldn't choose to do because he'd be at the free-throw-line all day with the soft fouls everywhere) he'd get in a rhythm and probably shoot even better.
In his era he had a lot of games with 0-1 trey shooting.

Jordan wasn't a better shooter than Kobe from anywhere on the court but his post game and slashing was BEAST !!!

If we're talking skills than Kobe is probably the most skilled player ever

Dribbles
Fadeaway
Long range
Dunks
Footwork
Crossover

Kobe had all of those things combined in 1 where other players like Wade & Jordan possess great slashing and footwork but not great jump shooters or dribbles

There are SGs who played in Jordan's career window with over 13-1500 3s made (with far shorter careers than Kobe). Modern offense is a factor, but not when one SG makes 3x as many as the other SG. I'd attribute it to Kobe's mid-career athletic decline and Michael's preferred shot selection (already mentioned)

598 of Jordan's 1778 3-point attempts were taken in seasons with the shortened 3-point line.
