In my opinion, YES! It's TOO LONG! Shorten the postseason and they don't need to add more teams to the playoffs period.

The NBA should have long shortened the regular season and the postseason, but they extended the postseason back in '02 or somewhere around there. People are saying that the greatest sport, football, is oversaturated right now, but who needs as much basketball as we watch? I don't need a September (training camp) Thru June basketball viewership...

The regular season should be capped off at 70 games. Only play one game versus each interconference team, and play conference games according to the competition of division (three versus each) and two to three versus conference opponents outside if division...

The playoff format should be 5, 5, 7, 7. Currently it's 7, 7, 7, 7. Too long. I also don't think the regular season should begin before November...

But none of this will change!

Just get rid of 6 teams, the conferences and playoffs, this will make the regular season actually interesting.

A 92 game competition of 24 teams from October to June.

Each team plays each other 4 times (2x home, 2x away).

Teams will play no more than 3 games per week.

Shorten everything, even the players are disinterested in half the season/play-offs.
