Like the Ken Pom metric when it comes to offensive and defensive efficiency. Don't like how some other facets figure into the rankings. Schedule strength always is misleading with all these computer rankings. Arizona State #34, about 20 spots behind Kansas, who they soundly beat in Lawrence? I think not.

Good point about ASU.

Maybe this is a better poll for rankings only, and not in-depth info & stats?

Would probably still put them in the top ten.

Better, but still only 14th? Even though I hate strength of schedule in any sport (one game against a horrible team can skew the ratings even though it shouldn't really matter if you soundly beat a better team that still isn't good). I look not just at how Arizona State has played, but I look like so many do at this time of year just alone at the results. Their schedule doesn't look any less imposing than any other top flight team to this point. They soundly beat Xavier, as well as Kansas at Lawrence. They beat St John's, which has climbed back into the realm of a decent program. Kansas State and San Diego State are each respectable. Their weaker opposition to this point looks perfectly comparable to any other program's. They should ditch the computers and use a "common sense metric". If they aren't #1, I don't see how in the world Arizona State can be lower than top 5. And once you beat somebody head-to-head (Kansas) in their building and you've lost fewer games, there needs to somehow be a methodology that implements heavily that aspect into any computer rankings system.

Luckily for ASU, CBB isn’t CFB, and so rankings don’t matter as much, especially this time of year.

FWIW, the NCAA uses RPI as the primary (but not the only) seeding tool, where ASU was ranked third as of Tuesday:

Wofford played a great game on the 20th. UNC did not. The Heels handled OSU pretty well 3 days later though so I'll take it!

Duke is still at the bottom of the ACC in conference play. I know that is only temporary; but I still love seeing it when I pull up my ESPN app.

And there you have it. The last three unbeatens all go down in the matter of hours. None though were big upsets, as all were dealt difficult tests to contend with.
