That would be the Toronto Raptors. They've been having a heck of a season this year. A major part is DeMar DeRozan having a career year for the team. I would like to see their head coach Dwane Casey win Coach of the Year. He deserves it with how great of a job he has done for Toronto. The Raptors are definitely one team from the East that has a shot at making it to the Finals.

Yeah, Casey should be a lock for Coach of the Year and DeRozan should pick up a few MVP votes. But Harden has that one in the bag.

Agreed. At this point, the MVP is Harden's to lose.

I used to know Casey when he was here in Seattle. He was a regular customer at a business where I worked. You absolutely could not find a nicer, more patient human being than Duane Casey. Since the Bulls are out this year I will be rooting for the Raptors.

I agree. I've seen and read several interviews with him during his tenure with the Raps. And, of course, all his pre and post-game interviews. By all accounts you couldn't find a nicer man anywhere.

If you haven't read it already, you'll likely enjoy this backgrounder on Casey by Lee Jenkins.

Raps as of now but Celts do very well against the heavyweights of the West (Rockets and Warriors)
