Perhaps GSW learned a lesson from Cleveland in the 2016 finals. The Warriors won 73 games, playing with incredible intensity throughout the regular season. Cleveland won 57 games, and the title.

Yeah, but they're clearly in some sort of trouble now. They're a .500 team lately, and are currently losing by 18 to Utah. Sure Curry is out, but Durant, Thompson, and Green are all in. I could see them having a fair amount of trouble getting through the first round. Heck, this Utah matchup could be their 2nd round matchup.

Well to be fair, they're not even giving the appearance of trying to win tonight (their final game). The defense has been lacking lately, which is my main concern. We'll see if they can turn it on against OKC this week.

Do we actually know it's OKC?

Oh I'm sure they have. They didn't keep up that intensity in the playoffs, and that's what led to Golden State's downfall.

I think the Warriors will be just fine in the first round. As long as Curry returns for the second round, Golden State really has nothing to worry about. However, with how unpredictable the NBA has become these days, Curry is not guaranteed to be at full strength once he returns. Will we get Steph back at full strength, or will it be a repeat of 2016? If it's the latter, Houston wins. Simple as that.
