Hard fouls do not equal good defense. There were maybe three guys in the league who could guard a player who could create his own jumper, in the 90s.

I believe there are four reasonable answers to the GOAT question: Wilt, Kareem, MJ and Lebron. No wrong answers there, but Six-Rings Dogmatism is silly. The rings don't tell the story.

Utah was very good. Well coached with two HOF players with talented role players. And Jordan would have won 8 without two years for baseball.

Regarding defenses then and now. The handcheck was legal then and every hard foul was not a flagrant like it is now. Not sure if the defenses were better back then but the rules benefited the defenses.

Handchecks aren't allowed today, but current elaborate defenses with players helping each other all the time would be illegal in the 90s.

This guy took a huge dump over the OP's theory as well as the voiceover in the video.

He played with Micheal Jordan so of course he will get more recognition for his play. Especially when you're on a team winning multiple championships. When Jordan left the team, how many championships did Scottie Pippen win, let alone appeared in?

Wade didn't have to do as much when Lebron was on the team. Let's not forget that Chris Bosh was also on the team.

I will ask you an even better question. When has Lebron ever won a championship without a stacked team?

Were the 2016 Cavs stacked? I guess that depends on how highly one thinks of Kevin Love. They did beat the greatest team of all time. Itís hard to win without great teammates. Very few athletes have. I can say, with authority, that Lebron has taken bad teams TO the finals. That said, this isnít a Jordan vs Lebron thread. Itís an indictment of the 90ís NBA and the six rings narrative. As I stated before, Jordan is one of four reasonable GOAT candidates. Canít hold his weak era against him, but he also shouldnít get bonus points for playing in said era.

Whatís your argument here? Pippen was an all star all those years and hardly anyone Lebron played with was when he won. Your argument is so flawed beyind belief. Iím not saying lebron is better, just that Jordan played with an all star and wade was the only one and he was only third team. A far cry from what Pippen was.
