Yeah, lol.....weak teams like Utah, the Knicks, Suns with Barkley, Ainge, KJ, Marjle etc. Basically, every team that came out the west lol....all sucked during that period...because *wah* it didn't count, they were watered down.

Even if an era were "watered down" that doesnt mean that talent isn' still concentrated in some teams.

Tell us specifically why both PHX, THe knicks and Utah were weak.

I have to say this much, the quality of your arguments is at least consistent across all forums.

The Jazz were a solid team.

The Knicks never had an elite pg or swing man, and gave a lot of minutes to people who simply were not good at basketball. Who was the second-best Knick of that era? Oakley? Starks? Take a look at this 60-win Knicks roster:
https://www.basketball-reference.com.../NYK/1993.html

Most of these guys stink. Only Oakley had a TS% over 55%. Look at the terrible starting pg play they got from Greg Anthony and the ghost of Doc Rivers. As a life-long Knicks fan, allow me to state clearly: JOHN STARKS WAS NOT GOOD. He scored because SOMEONE had to score from the wing. Dwight Howard’s Magic would take those Knicks to seven, and might win.

The Suns had 2-3 healthy seasons together. In that time, they were an offensive juggernaut, but in the bottom half of the league for defense. Barkley had already given up on playing D. KJ and Ceballos could never guard anybody. They’re not entirely dissimilar to D’antoni’s Suns. One of those Barkley teams actually had the 26th ranked defense.

Hmm, 1993 Knicks 1st in defensive rating and 24th in offensive rating. Anyone remember the 2004 Pistons winning a championship led by defense?

Looks like the 93 Suns had the #1 offense and 9th best defense...what’s the complaint about them?

The 04 Pistons are a special case. They may be the best defensive team in league history, and had above-average guard play.

The 93 Suns had the 18th ranked defense. Bottom half of the league.

So elite defensive teams are no easy out?

According to basketball reference, the Suns were 9th in defensive rating.

So is there a consensus on when there was a "strong era", if ever, in the 71-year history of the NBA?

You’re not reading that correctly. It says they were 18th.

You must be looking at points allowed per game which can be impacted by number of possessions.

Hey, I don't care what you're yelling at the pidgeons in the park, but calling the Jazz just a "solid" team and your comments about the Knicks? WTF.

I've seen your posts in the political forum and was just hoping it was that crap that made you post absolute garbage. However, here you are on the NBA forum saying stuff that is absolute crpa.

Welcome to the ignore list. Better than you deserve.
