Putting his career accomplishments aside and looking only at his stat line...

12.6 PPG
8.7 AST
6.3 TRB
40.0% FG pct.

Is this the worst stat line for any first ballot HOFer?

Without looking at anyone elseís stat lines, the assist and rebound averages are very strong. I couldnít tell you which players are comparable, off the top of my head, but once you add in the accolades, Kidd is a no-brainer.

His numbers would be comparable to Stockton if he didn’t shoot 40%. He’s probably one of those that in 25 years kids will wonder if he was all that good, but those that played against/with him will vouch for his skills.

I think itís already starting to happen. Even people who watched him are forgetting how good he was. In reality, he was two Steve Nash seasons away from being the consensus #1 pg of his era, and to be honest, Iím still not sure Nash edges him out.
