According to the national media and NBA fans this is everyone's attitude about the Cavs:

"They won't get past the Pacers. "
"The Cavs are tired, Toronto has the deeper team, the #1 seed and homecourt advantage and the Cavs are tired they won't make it past the Raptors."

Now, the East is weak, the Cavs shouldn't show up to The Finals because they're gonna get slaughtered by the West, LeBron is leaving after this season to go to the Sixers, Rockets or Lakers. It's funny the national media is more focused on that than the next series. They're hoping, no, they're rooting for the Cavs to lose in the ECF or The Finals because they want him in those cities and on one of those teams as well as a lot of NBA fans. They feel Cleveland doesn't deserve nice things or a player of LBJ's caliber.

However - I said at the beginning of the season that the defensive upgrades that the Rockets made are more important - Tucker, Luc BAM, and Paul as well. If they can stay focused on defense, they will have a good chance to pull off the series. Durant is the killer app because he is so tall and he can score anywhere. He will need to be big.

I give GSW a slight edge, but it's not impossible for Hou.
Yes, Houston has a good chance for sure, but we'll see who has the better execution and desire.

By the way, Utah is hanging tough, but I expect Harden and Paul to start taking over soon!

Not liking Harden's body language... Gobert has him spooked going into the lane. Other than that, just kinda off in general.

Paul is much more confident and assertive.

Harden needs to step it up.

Crowd is lame as well. Note to stadium staff or whomever decides what shirt color to wear for the crowd... black does not work.

22 pts in the 3rdQ for Mitchell. I don't think he can keep it up for two quarters.

He was escorted to the locker room, hurt his left knee after colliding with Harden.

Not good.

Yeah - not what I was expecting. I like his fight.

Paul is on fire. This is why they got him, because if they had to depend on Harden - not good.

James Harden had a quiet 18 points, but Chris Paul, wow, just took over that game and scored from everywhere on the floor.

Hopefully Golden State can close out the Pelicans tonight so they don't expend any more energy until they meet the Rockets!

When it rains, it pours.

Sources: Raptors leaning towards coaching change

Quote:
With his team fresh off another disappointing postseason exit, Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri has some hard decisions to make over the coming months. Head coach Dwane Casey is expected to be the first domino to fall.

The evaluation period is ongoing but, according to sources, the Raptors are strongly leaning towards making a coaching change.
Time for the Raptors to try something new

The Raptors as we know them are done. Long live the Raptors.

I agree, he's been overlooked all season.
His IQ is off-the-charts, and very skillful in all areas too.

I like the way Chris Paul is able to create space so easily for mid-range shots, he's got that hesitation dribble to keep the defender off balance and then he uses a slight fade when he shoots.
Plus he's a good driver so you don't want to guard him too closely on the perimeter or he blows by.
