Houston did what they needed to do, which was win handily.

I think if they had eeked out a win, it would not have been as convincing to themselves as what actually happened.

This was important because this is a different level of basketball now, and they needed some confirmation to themselves that they can play at that level. That's how they have played all year, and they now understand how much focus they have to put in, for a full game - to get those results. Defense was much more physical. Offense flowed and all were involved.

Game 1 was last year's Rockets. Game 2 was this year's Rockets.

Wow, tough night getting the ball in the basket for both teams starting guards.

Still not sure how anyone thinks Durant isn't the best player on that team.

Exactly.

To me, Durant is more un-guard-able than Harden.

With regards to starting guards, Harden was fine. He just played as part of the team rather than last year's Harden (in game 1) that did a bunch of isolation and wore himself out.

He scored points but was otherwise dreadful. He played clueless, robotic defense all game long leading to 41 points on 18 shots for Tucker and Ariza. 3 boards, 0 assists, 5 turnovers

He became the scorer-only Durant from early in his OKC days.

Rockets took a page out of the Cavs' playbook from a couple of years ago: attack Curry mercilessly.

It's team defense and they've got to primarily worry about Paul and the Beard so I'm not just accepting that it was suddenly all Durants fault for not covering 2 different starters for Houston.

So you didn't watch the game. We all know about all the switching that goes on but Durant still spent most of his time on Tucker or Ariza who took advantage of his poor defense. Durant was chasing shadows, barely bending his knees, going thru the motions. 3 boards, no steals no blocks, team worst -28 +/-

He can do better but it was a funny time to declare him best Warrior.
