Wade was great tonight. Still not the Wade of old though. The steal and dunk was awesome. But it's not like his old emphatic dunks when he was playing with James. He looks kind of small and slow these days. He was also the master of the BS "jump into the guy for a foul" play.

Earlier in the year he had an occasional breakout game like this with Cleveland, but typically got more like 10-15 points off the bench. I doubt they'll win the series, but they should give Philadelphia a good scare.

It was pretty amazing how Philadelphia all of a sudden couldn't hit a basket when Wade came in at the end.

I actually think whoever wins this series has a very real chance to get to the ECF. They'd be playing either a weakened Boston or Milwaukee.

What a paradox.
Philly won 3 of the 4 quarters, and Simmons outplayed Wade, still lost.

Philly won 1st Quarter 29-22
Miami won 2nd Quarter 34-13
Philly won 3rd Quarter 33-30
Philly won 4th Quarter 28-27

Simmons = 24 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks
Wade = 28 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals

I wouldn't say Simmons outplayed Wade. Off the top of my head, Wade had 3 huge plays. The steal + dunk was huge. Philly had closed it to 2, that turned it to 4 and killed all of Philly's momentum. Then Wade attacked the paint and kicked it out for someone to hit a 3. Also, Wade wrapped up Simmons when he had an easy dunk. Ended up missing one of the free throws. Those 3 plays alone are an 8 point swing late in the game.

Wade was +16, Simmons -9.

As expected Simmons is a good free-throw shooter in the playoffs.
Game 1 = 7-10
Game 2 = 4-6

Philly shot 7-36 from downtown and still scored 103 points and were only outscored in the 2nd quarter.
One of the most unique losses in NBA history and frankly a great sign for Philly if they can hold Wade to about 20ppg the rest of the way.

I agree, he's the best NBA Finals player of the 21st Century apart from Shaq.

What Wade did last night was totally unexpected and I now like them to win the series in 6 games.
