I doubt Cleveland wins anyways, but J.R. Smith really lost that series and made sure it ended almost as quickly as most thought. Dubs probably win game 2 anyways, but maybe going back to Cleveland 1-1 gets them psyched up and they win 1 or even 2 games so now instead of MLB baseball & college baseball the only sport on TV Monday night we'd have a 2-2 or hell 3-1 Cleveland lead in the finals. Could've made a case the Cavs could have won game 3, and after the way they lost games 1 & 3, you almost knew game 4 was going to be a rout.

Wow! That was the worst NBA finals game I've ever seen. The Cavs just didnt show up. It looked like they weren't even trying. I remember the days of the Pistons/Lakers series and the Bulls/Lakers series where everyone was scraping for every shot and loose ball both teams were playing tough D. The game tonight was just lazy basketball IMO. If I were a Cavs fan I'd feel let down and a little pi$$ed.

I can be upset at the outcome, but I'm not upset at the Warriors. Before making the playoffs in 2013, they do only been once since 1994--thats 13 years of being a perennial bottom feeder. They deserved this and this is their time. It won't last forever, so enjoy it while you've got it...

Congrats Warriors!

I'm glad Cleveland vs Golden State is done as series and "rivalry." Now, we get to see Boston rise and put up a lineup that can legitimately spar with GS.

Boston is legit! I hope Ainge does not mess up a good thing. The have so many guys that have track and field speed and 2 all stars returning. It will be a wise thing to just limit Irving minutes, if his ego will allow it in 2019.

That 28 ppg came on 40% shooting compared to KD’s 52%. That’s a big difference.

Curry was clearly stat padding. Still didn’t work.

That remains to be seen. At this point, Curry shouldn’t hold his breath with ever trying to win a finals MVP against the current top 3 player in the world (KD). KD is basically a taller more unguardable version of Curry. It’s curry’s team, but he won’t be taking home that MVP finals hardware against a man who shoots 52%.

You do know Curry owns countless shooting and 3pt scoring awards right?

That’s an oversimplification and illogical view of reality. GSW won 73 games without Kevin Durant. They deserved this before Durant arrived.

Durant going to GSW was like taking Superman or the Hulk and injecting them with steroids and the victim will be Curry who won’t win a finals MVP, ever.

You basically just repeated what I said, except I never even mentioned Durant, so what are you getting at?

Now it's revealed LeBron had a badly damaged right hand from punching something in anger after game 1.

At this point, I'm sure in LeBron's mind, he is still chasing Jordan's legacy of six rings. At his level and legacy so far, the only thing that seems to motivate him is getting at least a few more rings in order to further cement his status as the greatest ever.

Nothing wrong with that at all. He knows there is some urgency, as he turns 34, you never know how his body will respond and how much longer he can play hard every single game. I really don't see him remaining with the Cavaliers as they are hopeless.

The main question is, and something no one is able to answer, will LeBron sacrifice his stats for the sake of greater personal glory in championships? LeBron is a ball dominant player, and unless he is willing to cut his minutes and stats for the sake of other up and comers and established stars, I don't see him fitting with teams like the Celtics or the Sixers. That issue has been discussed before. He still wants to be THE man and that includes being the team leader in points, assists, rebounds, etc.
