He should be passing him this time next year, unless they're teammates!
Maybe we can just have the NBA go on a 3 year sabbatical and give everybody 3 years off, players, coaches, employees (still get paid of course) and just hand the Dubs the next 3 NBA titles, it's just so anticlimactic at this point.
I was thinking the same thing, no point in even playing a season next year. Just give the warriors the trophy in november
All the talk going into the season and look what we got...what everyone predicted for 2018 back in May of 2017. The only bit of drama was the Rockets/Warriors (the real NBA finals) and the Cavs being pushed to 7 games against the Kyrie/Hayward-less Cetrics and young Pacers.
When he was substituted off the court with something like 3 minutes left, he shook the hands of the Warriors before taking his seat, so he gets a pass from me.
Curry now has three rings, same as LeBron.
Hopefully Curry will be MVP of the finals.
Curry will never be the MVP of the Finals ever, so long as Durant is there.
At least we know the Cavs won't be in the Finals next year, the Eastern Conference will have a new sacrificial lamb to offer up to the Dub Dynasty (Gods of the NBA)!

One hilarious aspect of all of this is that the current Cavs roster is a product of Lebron James. He virtually hand picked this roster, which shows how bad of a "GM" he is. No wonder Kyrie Irving demanded a trade (not that it would've made a difference this year due to his injuries)
Curry will always get the credit for this dynasty. Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green were part of the original core, so they can enjoy all of the success with none of the "yeah, but..." statements Durant faces.

What Durant is doing is working. He's got the hardware to prove it.
But Durant's legacy also presents interesting and complex arguments not normally reserved for the greatest players of all time, ones that may continue long after he retires.
I disagree. KD will go down as the best 7 foot scorer of all time (KD admitted he's actually 7 feet)
Curry, while spectacular, still pales in comparison to KD greatness which mean it will be very hard to ever beat him for the MVP.
Great not great..when it comes to a possible 4 game situation Curry is capable of having a few better games and maybe enough to win MVP. For the finals Durant averaged something like 29/10/7 and Curry averaged about 28/6/7. Not really worlds apart statistically. Can’t really complain about Curry’s defense on Lebron either.
