I thought for sure that Lebron James would figure out some way to create another super team as he did in Miami. Instead he signed with the Lakers for $153 million, where I don't see any rings for the foreseeable future. Then there are those like Paul George and Carmelo Anthony who have opted for money over rings.

As Adrian Wojnarowski explains it, the new CBA is heavily skewed towards getting guys to stay put. Only DeMarcus Cousins thus far has opted for less money in order to chase a ring. Cousins is somewhat of a special case due to coming off the severe injury, plus reportedly a history of being a problem in the locker room.

Is this the decline and fall of the super team? If so, do you think it's good or bad news for NBA fans?
