Just curious who everyone thinks will be IU's next basketball coach.

I'm hoping for Sean Miller from Xavier but I don't think we can land him.

Anyone else have thoughts or guesses?

Thanks!

Scott Skiles!

Billy Donovan

But my dream IU coach would be Pitino.

Honestly, anyone who UNDERSTANDS how important Indiana basketball is to the state of Indiana will be fine with me. Although I was by no means a Bob Knight fan, he recruited the state FIRST and foremost. It was tradition that Mr. Basketball went to IU. Not so much anymore. Now, I don't know any of these guys except Eric Gordon who turned out to be a little whiner at the end. Please go to the NBA Eric, you don't understand IU basketball.

Dan Dakich will probaby take over Greenspan's job and it's really a damn shame that Ray McCallum hitched his wagon to the wrong guy. He's an Indiana basketball legend, but hooking up with Sampson ruined any chances he ever had coaching IU.

Rant over.

When Bob Knight quit Texas Tech, followed shortly by the Sampson ordeal, naturally I tried to connect the dots. As an IU grad, I'm not a fan of the General, but would probably welcome him back as coach. Reconciliation would be great for the legendary coach and the program too.

Anyway, the Sampson ordeal is a great (and expensive) lesson that honesty/integrity goes a long way whatever you do.

Crean seems to be filling his staff, one of them used to be a Sampson assistant too ... Crean probably had to promise the world for IU to agree to have him on staff.
