Pelicans 'underwhelmed' by Lakers offer of AD for Ball, Kuzma, Rondo, Beasley, and a first round pick. Boston wants the Pels to let the deadline pass, then work on a deal in July after Irving becomes a free agent. Of the two, I see the latter as much more likely.

Or maybe someone else steps up with an offer before the deadline. I don't see how the Lakers can get a deal done with what they have to offer.

Well the Pelicans will have to get something for him (and probably will, better than the trash LAL offered), but I doubt it will be Boston, given AD’s fathers comments yesterday. Lakers will probably give in and offer Ingram with Kuzma and Ball because Lebron doesn’t care about rebuilding

LBJ out tonight due to lingering soreness.

Playing 40 hard minutes after being out for so long, with such a bad injury, probably wasn't the best of ideas few nights ago.

Or maybe tired of getting stomped on national TV by Durant and the Warriors

They did pretty good staying with the Dubs, but come fourth quarter you knew what time it was. The Lakers truly suck in fourth quarters, and the Dubs still beat them even with Curry scoring only 14 points.

As much as I am a fan of LeBron, anyone can see that his presence has created disharmony in that locker room and organization. Not unexpected of course.

Houston sent Carmello Anthony to the Bulls, who immediately waived him. Reports are that the Lakers may be interested in signing him. What a brilliant move that would be [/sarc]

The anti-Walton stuff is manufactured.
The Lakers were a big chance to finish 4th in the West before LeBron's injury.
So they lose games when LeBron is absent, and Walton is suddenly on the hot seat?

Any day now...

Sources: Lakers have offered improved Anthony Davis package

Quote:
Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson made a more robust bid for New Orleans Pelicans All-Star Anthony Davis on Monday, offering multiple young players, including Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma, as well as draft picks and salary-cap relief to the Pelicans, league sources told ESPN.

Johnson and Pelicans general manager Dell Demps had multiple conversations on Monday, league sources said.
