He's 100% right, and the level of power organizations have allowed players to have in this league is ridiculous. At least with the Kahwi situation their was some ambiguity as to his intentions....Butler straight up is being a toxic ass. And even though he is All-Star talent, he isn't the best two-way player in the league, or a player who's going to make an MVP-level difference to the team he's traded. He needs either shut up and play, or sit his ass down until he's traded.

My take is that if a player pulls these stunts, they have two choices:

1. play out the contract

2. sit out the remainder of the contract but they don't get paid for it and they can't sign with another team

When does an employee get to make such ridiculous demands to their employer?

When the employee makes the employer hundreds of millions of dollars.



They'll never get equal value in a trade so make him play out his contract. If he leaves after that he leaves. Teams need to stop chasing bad contracts.

Employee is probably afraid of head coach taxing his knees.
