Cautiously excited for the Sixers, not sure who their front court will be outside of Jojo

Would have loved to have seen Fulz go instead of Dario

Who didn't see this coming, one of the most overrated players of all time, how the once mighty have fallen.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's cut.

Sooo instead of taking 4 first rounders that could turn out to be good once the Rockets implode, the Timberwolves blew the trade to languish in the playoffs. Guess the plan is to hangout in 1st and 2nd round of the playoffs for next 5-10 years and draft in the 20s.

Well, they’ve never been known for being a very smart organization. Look at their draft history, and whom they’ve chosen as coach-GM.

At least Twolves don't get any worse defensively.
And their chemistry will improve, so their offensive should improve.
Rose and Wiggins will have more freedom.
I'm glad Philly got rid of Saric, far too streaky, unreliable.

This is huge for the 76ers. Now they can run a Fultz-Reddick-Butler-Simmons-Embiid lineup. And if Fultz can't figure out how to shoot, they can replace him with either McConnell or maybe Smith when he's healthy. I like Saric & Covington, but they are no Jimmy Butler. The 76ers just made a date with Toronto for the ECF.

Big-time move.

Melo is Exhibit A in the no-defense wings can't win Hall of Fame.

This is a pretty good trade for the Wolves. Saric is young and talented. Covington is a winner. The Wolves weren't moving KAT, which is probably a mistake if they could have kept Jimmy long-term. A franchise center who is a poor defender is not a franchise center.

The Wolves aren't going anywhere. They have the talent to make the playoffs in the Weakening West, but they are probably first round fodder for the Warriors, Nuggets, Pelicans, or Jazz.

T.J. McConnell is an excellent shooter.
Why doesn't he get more minutes?
He's not just an excellent shooter, he has flawless shot-selection too.
And very reliable ball-handler.
He was perfect in the playoffs.
I agree with giving Fultz and Reddick getting plenty of minutes, but T.J. should get plenty of minutes when those guys are benched.

The balance of power in the NBA is shifting...

I'm not completely sold on Philly. I think Butler adds toughness, defense and takes much of the scoring burden from Embiid. I still don't think they can beat Toronto and I'm not sure they are a sure bet over Milwaukee...

A month into the season, Boston is a 5-seed. This team is not winning a title as currently construed unless they get the big fish (Anthony Davis)...

Carmelo was a great player in this league for 10, 11 years, but it's over unless he swallows his pride. There is a lot of talk going on about his legacy. Believe it or not, he's probably my favorite All-Time player, he definitely was my favorite player for years. He will be remembered as a dominant scorer and an electric talent who just was not a great leader. Selfish, a little combative, but a great player. He's a Top 20 player of the last 15 years. I'm not sure he cracks a Top 60 All-Time list, but a great player nonetheless...

The Wolves are spinning their wheels. I'm encouraged by Rose's resurgence and I do believe they'll play better now that Butler is gone. But I've never been a believer in Towns (overrated!), this team will still struggle to make the postseason if the Clips, Kings, Grizz remain competitive for the next five months...

I love that Houston is struggling...

Writing has been on the wall for the Warriors for about a year now. They may very well win it again (though I doubt it) and be remembered as the GOAT team, but this run is coming to a close and its ending fast...

^ I don't know how the Warriors can ever prove they are the GOAT team (or even top 3) when they are playing in the softest era in NBA history (silly rules like "freedom of movement" fouls?).
