And he did it against one of the better defensive teams in the NBA. An announcer said that they could have a highlight reel of only Rose vs. Gobert. Rose in tears after the game as he is interviewed by Rachel Nichols. Great to see, especially since Rose is the proverbial nice guy.

I think every basketball fan was happy for him.

Amen. Guy had a great early career start hammered by injury. A great inspiration after a lot of tough times for him and grueling recovery etc.

I find Rose's style of play more entertaining than just about anyone in the NBA.
And that's amazing considering he's nowhere near his athletic prime/peak.
Of course most of the dominant scorers in the NBA are jump-shooters, so we aren't in an entertaining era.

Should have posted before, but here is the box score:
Jazz vs. Timberwolves - Box Score - November 1, 2018 - ESPN

D Rose played 41 minutes, went 19-31 from the field, 4-7 in threes, and 8-11 in free throws. He also had 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.

He's shooting .370 in threes so far this year. That has been his major bugaboo in the past. If he can keep it up, that will be a major plus for him and the T-wolves, who are weak in threes.

And he made 1-1 downtown in his next game, before injury got him.

So good to see him drop that! I remember watching highlights of him pre-injury and my God he was so entertaining.

No matter how well he plays now, he won't remind me of pre-injury Rose, because pre-injury Rose was a ferocious dunker, and obviously quicker.
But his 3-point-shooting has been amazingly consistent this season.
He's hitting .467 downtown on 3.8 attempts per game.
He was never a consistent 3-point-shooter pre-injury.

Rose with another impressive shooting night, made 3-5 from downtown vs Nets.
This has gone on long enough, not just a lucky streak, he appears to have transformed into one of the best shooters in the NBA.

Yes, .480% on avg. 3.8 3 pt attempts per game after 13 games. That is pretty amazing. He is .304% in threes for his career. Not likely that he stays at .480, but if he can just hit .380-.400 it would be big for the T-wolves. Unfortunately without Butler, I don't suppose they are going anywhere (currently 5W 9L).
