The Heat just announced Pat Riley is stepping down and they will be coached by Erik Spoelstra who is one of the assistants on the team. He's 38 years old and this is the first team he's ever coached as well as being the younges coach in the league. This move good or bad for the Heat?

I say this is another step in the right direction for the Heat. Didnt Riley walk out on them this year? If this is this guy's first year as a head coach, I doubt that will happen. Miami probably wont make the playoffs next year but they should improve next year.

I think that with a healthy Wade, Shawn Marion, Haslem and a high draft pick I think the heat should be able to make a push next year for the playoffs. It would've been good if Riley left after the championship in 06 and left out on top. This year he didn't look like he had anything left in him...

They need a more experienced coach....But it was time for Riley to step down.

And nooooooooo way will the Heat make a push next year.....They need better players.

There's too many other teams that will squash them.
