Like they say with real estate Location, Location, Location. Being on the east coast helps the Hornets playoff chances.

For the first time in my life, I'm actually excited to find the Hornets highlights, and get bummed when I realize they are not playing.
Let's calm down on the all star thing for Ball. No chance this year. In the East you have Harden, Kyrie, Jalen Brown, Middleton, Trae Young...and that's just off the top of my head. Heck, Rozier might get one before Ball this year.

But in my opinion, there is no doubt that IF he continues to work hard on his game and his body in the off season (a big if I know) and barring injury, I honestly see him as being capable of being the East Coast Luka. He rebounds well, can create for others and get his own shot almost at will. That tear drop floater is ridiculous. It's still early, but I'm excited. He is everything I thought Lonzo would become.

He's already leading all rookies in almost ALL categories. He'll be the ROY without doubt.
He's also No. 1 assists, No. 1 steals, No. 1 double-doubles, No. 1 triple-doubles, No. 3 rebounds, No. 3 scores inside Hornets this season. Remember he's only 19 and played 27 NBA games. It's insane.

He just has to stay healthy and play enough games.

Yes, the previous rookie having 14/6/6 is Luka. He definitely could become another Luka. The only difference is their weights. Luka is 50lbs heavier than Melo. He's more like a taller Trae Young.

Lonzo's no slouch He's averaging 14/4/5 right now. Not bad but I figured he would be padding the stat sheet more so by this time. The focal point is on Zion and Brandon so there are only so many balls to go around.

But with Zion and Ingram he should be double figures in assists.

Bear in mind with Lonzo that the Pelicans declined to extend him so he's a free agent after this. So this is basically a contract year effort that he is putting in right now. No guarantee that he continues at this level next season especially if he gets a big contract somewhere.

Agreed. He has basically regressed from last season in almost every aspect of the game except scoring, which has never been his strong point anyway. At this point he probably needs a fresh start somewhere else, but that would be his 3rd team in 5 years. Not a good sign for someone we all thought (well I thought) had a chance to be special in this league. Melo's success makes it all look even worse.
