That article is ridiculous. Why do ESPN and sportswriters insist on comparing the two when it's obvious there is no comparison? I guess its for ratings and lack of stuff to write. Call me when kobe wins 3 more championships on his own and gets MVP's for them and leads the league in scoring for 4 years.

The idea that Bryant should be considered apart from Jordan is plainly preposterous
|
Last time I checked Kobe and Jordan were two different people. I don't see why, therefore, considering them apart is so peoposterous.

I don't think he has a choice anymore. No one is going to compare the two for much longer at this rate.

Kobe is a great player, no question about that. He doesn't have the supporting cast that Jordan had, but I give Kobe credit for being in the same conversation with Jordan. You'll never hear about Lamar Odom for instance being compared to Jordan.
I have to admit, I enjoy watching Kobe play, and feel fortunate to witness his career.

HA HA HA!! Kobe "Ghost" Bryant. Call him Ghost for his disappearing trick in the finals. People should NEVER compare him to Jordan because it isnt even close. He's more like Bernard King or George Gervin - great great scorer who can create his own shot. He is NOT now, nor will he ever will be considered a great like Jordan, Magic, Bird, Wilkins because he is not a leader.
I dont care how you look at it, he is does NOT have leadership qualities and abilities. Being the #1 scorer on your team or being the highest paid player does not make you a leader. - LEADERSHIP skills/qualities is what makes you a leader and unfortunately he has neither.

Supporting cast? Are you kidding, other than Pippen those Bulls teams were garbage. Luc Longley? Bill Cartwright? BJ Armstrong? C'mon be real. I'll take Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol over those hacks anyday.
Jordan took over defensively and offensively.

kobe is a good player, not a great player. Not a team player. If he ever went to Doc Rivers or Red Aurbach and demanded to be traded. He would have been gone befor he could finish the sentence. The LA Kobes would be better off without him. After the celtics won the title, Phil {mr excuse}Jackson} said Kobes legs were tired thats why he didnt score. Phil could write a book on excuses . The media & Jackson make it appear the team cant win w/out Kobe. LOL.He is not a jordon or a Larry Bird

Don't like Kobe. Jordan brought respect to basketball that I don't think it will have again for another decade. The man was amazing. He is a true legend.
Kobe is good, but in ten years people won't really care.
