The 2008-09 NBA Season thread
I started a similar thread in the Hockey forum and with the Season starting tonight, thought I'd start a thread devoted to this NBA season. Here is how it'll work, talk about anything NBA related for this year, games, trades, players, teams, highlights, controverseys, etc. When the playoffs get started, we'll have a playoff thread like last year.

Greg Oden out for 2-4 weeks with a foot injury. Remember he missed all of last season too.

Well the Utah Jazz started out with a 98-94 win over Denver. We were with Deron Williams and the Nuggets were without Carmelo.

I was a fan for 26 years (I watched Norm Sonju pull the "mavericks" name out of the hat, after the finalists were announced for the new team in Dallas) but I guess I burned myself out - now I rarely watch anymore.  |

I thought the Sixers look like they may be outstanding this season. It seems as though Brand really frees up Dalembert, who may be in for a remarkable season on offense and defense.

Joe Johnson scores 35 and the Hawks dug themselves out of a 23 point hole to beat Philly 95-88. Atlanta's playing with a better attitude it seems.
