who deserves the next expansion team
My vote goes for Louisville KY. Rabid basketball fans and no competition from Cincy. Plus the new arena.

I personally hope the NBA doesn't expand any more, and likely if they do, it will probably be into Europe creating some type of conference/division over there as David Stern is really pushing the NBA in that direction.
I don't know that Louisville is a large enough market, they are all about their Cardinals there, don't know how they'd support an NBA franchise (take a look at Memphis for example). My assumption would be Stern will want to try and get a team back in Seattle if the NBA is considering expansion. Las Vegas is also another destination likely to be considered being that the All-Star game was played there in recent years.

I don't think the NBA needs to expand anymore. Period. They've got too many teams as it is, and the season is already too long.

I agree that the league has enough teams. But some teams may relocate soon. I'm thinking Kansas City may end up with a team.

I agree with Canes. When Kansas City had the Kings a couple decades ago, they shared those games with Omaha. Kind of a clumsy arrangement as those 2 cities are 200 miles apart. KC's metro area is a little more than 2 million people, I think they can support a franchise.

Certainly not above the realm of possibility. They certainly can. But who would they get, and who is in danger of moving??

^ The Kings may not be in Sacramento much longer. The owners once threatened to move the team when voters rejected a new arena. Also the Grizzles and Hornets I hear are in danger of leaving.

Sacramento is not going to lose the Kings. We have a new mayor, former Suns great Kevin Johnson, who will make sure they stay. Right now, there looking at putting another plan on the table soon.
