The bottom line is that most of the true fans cannot get tix to the Laker's playoff games and many are sold, taken up by people that can't tell you who is on the team besides Kobe.
The tix are expensive and go to people that want to see the event.
Watch the good seats in the playoffs...full of aspiring actresses texting people like mad and the guys arent much better.
i hated the kings of the mike bibby, webber, divac era, the old retard misfits celtics of the 80s, what can you say about a team when the most good looking cat was danny ainge, i loved the 80s lakers, cooper, kareem, magic, worthy, byron scott, unstoppable baby!!!
Yeah, but I find the celeb obsession offensive. I mean, the MAJORITY of fans aren't like that, never will be. Even Jack looks like some schlub (albeit with court-side seats) watching his favorite team. No cellphone either.
But because it makes for good ratings, and reinforces anti-LA stereotypes, it's prominent in every freaking game they show in TV. I'd like to see the camera pan the crowd at non-Laker games. I bet there are an awful lot of their fans texting as well. Problem is, it won't be some starlet or wannabe so they won't bother showing it. Lots of towns have vapid people living there. We don't have the market cornered on that one.
