Now that was some crazy shooting! 75% in the first half and 62% overall? Wow. I know the Lakers weren't defending nearly as well as they did in Game 1, but even the well contested shots were going in for the Magic. I guess the Lakers can feel good that even with the Magic's record breaking shooting percentage and Bryant missing some rare free throws at the end, they only lost by 4 points and still had a chance to win it with 30 seconds to go in the game.
Last night's game 3, I conceded to Orlando before the game even started. I never thought the Lakers would sweep. But even as great as Orlando shot, they game was still close!! But I still hold to my prediction of the Lakers in 6. They will win one in Orlando, and then win game 6 at home in Staples.
Too many offensive rebounds for LA...seems like while everything was falling for Orlando (3pt. shooting wasn't that awesome though) the ball was definitely boucing LA's way or it would have been an easy win.
Lakers definitely were smarter with hard fouls and not ticky-tacky fouling Howard where he'd get the bucket and 1.
Hats off to Orlando, Lakers are still in the drivers seat and are showing themselves to be the better team. I'd give Orlando a 10-20% chance of winning this series.
They definitely did. It's just surprising that they only won by 4 points when looking at the stats. Pretty unusual. Can't wait to see Game 4!
