Eastern confrence - cleveland and orlando(boston for some reason doesnt look as strong as they were last year.)
Western confrence - Laker vs. ?????
the west is pretty much a toss up. All the teams from # 1 to # 8 are pretty good.

I know I put cleveland in the confrence finals but I wouldn't be surprised if if goes to seven against detroit

Losing in 2nd or 3rd round is better than losing in the 1st round.
If you heard throught the grapevine garnett was hurt....whom would you rather play?

But I do think Bass and Hollins could give Tim some different looks, so I like that matchup better than in the past. The key to TP (as any playmaker) is to make him work on defense, so if I was Carlisle I would tailor the matchups so that Tony would have to get physical - if he's got Kidd, don't let him stand out on the perimeter and leak out on rebounds - post him up everytime down...
That '06 series was one of the best series I have ever seen. Even players from both teams were saying at the end of game 7 that it was the best series they have ever been apart of. Now I doubt every game is going to come down to the wire, but we could see some of that same intensity from '06.

I do like Brandon Bass, kid looks like he's having fun while playing. Hollins, I haven't seen him much in a Mavs uniform, but he's got energy.
good analysis Elmer

Valid question, but I would look at my team and wonder if they were strong enough to "flip a switch" when the time came. You can argue that only a few teams in this era actually had that combination of dominance and maturity it would take to play around like that.

Anyone know if they re-seed after each round?
