Default 2009 NBA Playoffs thread

Since all 16 teams have been decided, I'd like to start this up early. All that's left is the match-ups.

Predictions? Thoughts?
Go Mavs Go!!!!!!!

I don't really like trying to predict things, but I really do think that it will be the Cavs and Lakers in the finals. That will be a fantastic series to watch if those are indeed the teams from each conference in the finals. I think it is a guarantee that the series would go to seven games. I think the Cavs would have the advantage because they have homecourt advantage in their favor.

Pistons in 7 over the Lakers. Gonna be a weird series!

Meanwhile in this dimension....expect the Cavs to make it and Denver might surprise us. Lakers are the favs, but Denver has been playing above their pay grade this year. If Denver makes it, then Cavs....if Lakers make it, then Lakers.

I would vote for the Spurs, but the loss of Ginobli really puts them in a bind for the playoffs. As much as I would love to see them take it, I think they might be too banged up at this time to have a serious chance against the talent in the West. Sorry Guys, I still wuv you!

I'm a big Bulls fan...but Orlando is a dang good team. They could arguably knock out Cleveland or Boston in a series. They are just under the radar with everyone all gaga over Lebron and the Kobe.

Dwight Howard is one of the 5 best players in the NBA right now and gets amazingly little attention.

P.S. They are coasting into the playoffs to be rested so don't read anything into their 3 game losing streak etc.

I'm no NBA expert, so I could be mistaken.

Buuuuuut, I think I heard that the Bulls won 3 of 4 from the Magic. Also the Magic I think are weak at the guard spot, which is where the bulls are deep. DRose and Ben Gordon should have a field day against that team. Also, the Bulls are peaking right now and seem to be meshing well as a team.

I totally agree about Dwight Howard, he is a complete beast and will absolutely eat up the Bulls. But I think they have the advantadge at every other spot.

As long as the Cavs beat the sixers, looks like it will be Bulls/Magic. Regardless I think it should be a good series.
