Calipari's name isn't involved in this so the title is VERY misleading..

Still twice teams under Calipari would have to give up wins and Final Four appearances, hmmm

This stuff goes on ALL THE TIME. Often boosters just "take care" of things and no one in the staff has to get their hands dirty.
So, I generally don't get too upset when some stuff surfaces because we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

No kidding. College basketball is a dirty world beneath that flimsy facade of "amateur athletics" and "student-athletes". It's never going to change because there's too much $$$ at stake - only none directly (err...legally) to the players.

I'm so glad NC State does not have to deal with that headache. Our AD persued him in 2006, but he said no, and I'm glad he did.

The tip of the iceberg point is indeed a vaild one. I'm ok with collegiate players getting paid to a point (it's a whole different arguement), but the academic fraud is certainly bothering to me. Too many people out there bust their behinds to get into school to have athletes skate by because they can hit a jump shot. Cupcake schedules, sympathetic professors and other various forms of academic fraud should have stiff consequences.

Derrick Rose: Calipari told me not to worry about passing SAT
Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose said he did nothing wrong regarding SAT scandal at Memphis - ESPN Chicago
This is not good news for Calipari, although in fairness the NCAA already didn't indite him for the SAT scandal. Still it looks like Rose is going to give his side - who knows what really happened.
His quote from ESPN today:
"That didn't bother me at all, I know I didn't do anything wrong," Rose said. "That was up to Memphis what they had to do.
"Coach [John Calipari] told me, 'Don't worry about it.' I definitely wasn't worried about it. I was still working out, so I just let [the scandal] pass."
