Looking @ the average salaries, I don't think that WNBA players come out of college thinking that they will be set for life like NBA players. I think that WNBA players don't rely on just their ballplaying to make thier livings; they probably have other careers on the side to fall back on.

on a side note, if anyone wants to check out the WNBA finals you can swing over to the boxoffices here in phoenix and get a free upperdeck ticket for game 2

the word is the suns coach bought out the entire upper deck and they are giving those seats away - limit of 8 per person

The real problem that I had with WNBA was the phony claim that there was no professional women's league when there was - the ABL - and there was no way the ABL could compete with the WNBA's financial backing and television contracts.

Plus, it was funny to listen to the crowd noise be artificially "pumped up" to try to fool TV watchers into thinking there were more fans than were actually there.


IMO the WNBA has been and always will be a phony league
