WNBA- What do you think?
Do you have a team in your city and do you attend and how is the team doing? If you dont have a team in your city would you like one and would you attend games.

Indianapolis had a team I believe...and, no I wouldnt attend a game. Even though the WNBA blows away the NBA in terms of excitement. I just think NBA basketball is painful to watch due to lack of defense.

Indiana still has a team, they were just on tv and seeing that game on inspired me to ask this question, they were playing in Washington DC and the arena looked empty, so I was just wondering what people think of the WNBA.

By all accounts, the Indiana Fever are going to fold or relocate at the end of the season. Which is somewhat of a shame, by WNBA standards they draw pretty well.
For the record, I don't care for them or follow them.

I was into it back during the first few seasons, me and my dad went to a couple of Sting games. I got to go to game one of the 2001 WNBA finals against the Sparks, which had a great atmosphere, (the Sparks won that game and the series). But after that, the team pretty much fell back down to obscurity, and ultimately, faced the option of either folding or moving to Kansas City, they folded.
In all honestly, I haven't payed attention to the WNBA in a while and if you asked me who the champions have been since 2002, I couldn't tell you. It wouldn't surprise me if the league ended up folding in the next 3 years or so.

We don't have a team in our town but I am glad they have a women's professional sports team available and I think women's basketball is just as much fun to watch as men's basketball and I wish the WNBA players would get as much recognition as the NBA players, I would definitely attend games if I had the chance

I wouldnt be surprised either if the league folded, Im actually surprised that it has lasted this long.
Im also wondering how smaller markets like CT, Indiana,San Antonio, and Sacramento are doing.

They were actually drawing ~5K/game when they folded, which happened because the owner did not want the team anymore and couldn't find a buyer.
I met Sheryl Swoopes a few years ago and got to talk with her a bit. Nice lady and a great ballplayer.
