Anyone watch how the Lakers pulled off a remarkable win against Miami on Friday? Both Fisher and Kobe made phenomenal shots to turn the game around in 4 seconds. Kobe's 3-pointer was jump shot off one leg & with less than 3 seconds.

Can Kobe do it again this year? Wish I had a seat in Staples for that game. BTW, despite the bad mouthing from the ESPN announcers [esp coach van gundy] Wade was superb in the 4th quarter [he will definitely leave the Heat after this year].

Kobe can do whatever he wants on the court, whenever he wants, there's no spot on the court where he can't get a shot off at.

As for Wade he's not leaving miami, not a chance. They've got a team that's overachieving right now and a young team. Wade is molding a young team with his work ethic and Pat Riley is behind him. They made Q-Rich drop nearly 20 pounds. Kobe and Phil molded a champion (09 lakers were the youngest champions in 26 years).

The heat are going to have the cap space to sign Wade and Bosh. Then they'll go from there. Wade isn't leaving Miami.

Van Gundy thrashed Wade all night\ criticising him for slow defensive returns & shirking point guard role out of character for the teams "leader." I'd be surprised if Wade leaves Miami after his contract is up next year but it's been 3 yrs since his 2006 ring & he maybe impatient for another championship.

The Laker's have packed a lot of talent around Kobe and he is playing at the top of his game. So, barring injuries the Lakers should repeat as champions this year.

Artest and Gasol are both all-stars and Bynum, Odom etc. are very good too.

The Lakers certainly have excellent potential but they lost to Denver, Dallas & Houston already this year. The West conference is tough & if Gasol gets injured again it would be worse than when Bynum is out.

And looking East at Lebron's amazing feats is real sobering. KG is healthy & hungry for a Celtic rout of the Lakers ala 2008.

Kobe is just phenomenal.

The Lakers were 0-2 against the Magic in the regular and beat them in the Finals.

Noone goes undefeated for the entire season. So they have losses to three good teams. It means nothing until the playoffs. As for Lebron and his Cavs, who has more losses, LA or Cleveland?

Right. Do you think the Lakers can go 72 & 10?

No way. I say the Lakers and Celtics win around 65 games each assuming those two are still on top of their conferences. Orlando could win 65 games also. Again, it is still too early to tell who is the dominant team yet. This game is all about matchups, not necessarily the transitive logic.
