Default Let's discuss Joakim Noah

I figured this could be an interesting thread with him running his mouth lately--but also playing really well. I'll admit it, I like most of Chicago hated the pick when the Bulls drafted him, but now I am hoping he stays in a Bulls uni for many years. I really like his game. Lets stick to the #s for now...

07-08: MPG: 20.7, PPG: 6.6, RPG: 5.6
08-09 MPG: 24.2, PPG: 6.7 RPG: 7.6
09-10 MPG: 30.1, PPG: 10.7 RPG: 11.0

He seems to be getting better each year and is turning into a double/double machine---while playing great defense. My questions would be:

Could he be a 20/10 guy, or is him averaging 20 a game a pipe dream?

Is he a good compliment for D Rose?

If the Bulls land Bosh (which looks likely), how does Noah fit into that scheme?

Unless he improves his offense drastically, he will not be a 20/10 guy. The Jet was talking after the game last night on TNT how Noah is an 'opportunistic' scorer, he's not someone you're going to call plays for and look to feed him in the post consistently. The Cavs have been daring him to shoot in both games leaving him wide open around the foul line.

He is essentially like Varajeo is to the Cavs, their both a vital part of their teams, you just can't count on either of them to score, but they can do anything else - rebound, play defense, draw charges, get under the other teams skin, etc. - well to help their teams win.

Adding Bosh would definitely get the Bulls in to that upper echelon in the East for years to come. He and Rose would be a nice 1-2 punch. I don't think Noah's role changes one bit if they add Bosh, he's still going to do the dirty work that he does now.

Noah isn't a true center,He's a glorified power forward.

He plays bigger then he is, and he is pretty big to begin with.

Sure, if it's 20 rebounds and 10 points.

Bosh to Miami...You heard it here first.

Despite being blown out yesterday, he went for 21 & 20, pretty darn impressive, definitely could see him becoming a 15/15 guy. He still annoys me w/his antics, but have to give him credit for his hard work and the passion in which he plays.

So far in this young season Noah is averaging 16 and 14 a game. I felt that was worhty of a bump on this thread. Aside from that Noah is whats RIGHT with the NBA, he plays hard and is passionate about what he does. He also seems to be receptive to coaching, which is a dying skill in todays league.

Its funny, I HATED the pick when they drafted him, boy was I wrong

The kid is becoming a beast. He can rebound like a mother! Once he develops low post moves, he will be a force to reckon with.

Love his passion, he's doing really well.
I remember watching his dad play tennis back in the day.
