I was just thinking about when the last quad double occurred. After googling, it has been 16 yrs since the last one. It has happened only 4 times. Amazing!
1) Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks.[1]
2) Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals.[2]
3) Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks.[3]
4) David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks.[4]
I trust your google search, but I thought either Michael or Magic had one. What makes it so hard is the steals or the blocks, I would assume having 10+ blocks/steals is rare enough, then adding a triple double on it....forget about it.
hakeem had 2 of them but one got taken away by the league or something like that.
tim duncan has missed it by 1 or 8 blocks twice, interestingly enough TD has almost had a 4d in almost all of his trip-dubs.

Missed it by 8 blocks, wow, he juuuuuussst missed it
A similar accomplishment is the five-by-five, which is the accumulation of at least five points, five rebounds, five assists, five steals, and five blocks in a game. In the NBA, only Hakeem Olajuwon and Andrei Kirilenko have accumulated multiple five-by-fives since the 1986–87 season
I think Pippen flirted with at quadruple once or twice with steals. Now I have to go look it up.
