Baton Rouge (hotels, college, malls)

Im taking my 16 yr old daughter and some friends to Baton Rouge on the 14th-15th of july.They will be going to blue bayou. Is there a fun hotel near malls and places to eat,etc. We would like one with an outdoor pool. And clean.Thanks.....Lorna

The Mall of Louisiana is several miles up the road from Blue Bayou. It can be accessed by the Siegen/Picardy or the Bluebonnet I-10 exits. As to motels, there are several I think would work for you, but I'll throw out two: (1) Courtyard by Marriott - Siegen at I-10, (2) Embassy Suites - On Constitution Avenue, which is a service road that can be accessed from the I-10 at College Dr Exit.

Lots of hotels in the Siegen Lane and Bluebonnet Road areas which are the next 2 exists heading west down I-10 from Blue Bayou. The Mall of Louisiana is at the Bluebonnet exit where you'll find AmeriSuites, Quality Suites, Towneplace Suites. At Siegen you'll find Residence Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Holiday Inn, La Quinta, Microtel Inn.
