Question *Possible* move to Baton Rouge area

In a few weeks I will be interviewing for a job in East Baton Rouge (yay!). However, if we move to LA I think I would want to live somewhere between Lafayette (for scholastic reasons) and Baton Rouge. I was looking at the Breaux Bridge area (sorry if I messed up the spelling!). Would that be a horrible commute either way?

It wouldn't be too bad BUT you take the risk of nasty traffic snarls WHEN (note I didn't say "if") there are wrecks on the Spillway and/or the Mississippi River bridge (known as the "new bridge")

When you say "scholastic reasons", are you referring to attending ULL ?

Default scholastic reasons

Actually, it would be my SO who would be attending one of the trade schools in Lafayette (I'm not 100% sure what it's called).

Thanks for the info!
