WARNING: Question about LSU student program. not quite sure where this post should go but I could use some help...
Hey there,

I am currently a student at PVAMU(Prairie View A&M University) as an Electrical Engineering Senior. I will be looking to get into an Engineering graduate school soon after I graduate in May. I currently live near Houston Texas and I would love to know more about the LSU Graduate program. Unfortunately, I was at UH(university of Houston) and did not do too well and had to transfer to PVAMU. However, I am doing much better at my current school and I was wondering how competitive the LSU graduate engineering program is. I am just starting my research into graduate schools and I would love some input.

PS: The reason why I want to go to LSU is because there are a decent amount of process plants that I may be able to work at while attending my graduate classes(any thoughts on that?). Also I am really intigued by the LSU campus life and culture.

Just because there are a lot of plants in the area , don't assume that jobs are plentifull . The market is VERY competitive , and some of those jobs are still " who you know " .

It's definitely not that bad here. I'm a senior engineering student at LSU now and I haven't had too much trouble lining up work for post-grad. I don't know exact rankings for the grad program but I've heard pretty good things about it.
